Women’s writing takes centre stage once again at the Rapallo BPER Banca Prize, an award now in its fifth year, organised by the City of Rapallo with the support of BPER Banca, which is awarded annually by a distinguished jury to the best Italian women writers in the ‘Fiction’ and ‘Lifestyle and Non-Fiction’ categories. The Prize once again confirms the City of Rapallo’s commitment to promoting literary activity, innovative thinking and the social impact of the most influential female authors on the Italian cultural scene.
Entries are open until 20 August.

The selection of titles nominated for the Rapallo BPER Banca Prize will be led by an authoritative Technical Jury composed of leading figures from the Italian cultural scene, who have always been committed to promoting women’s perspectives: Maria Luisa Agnese, Mauro Bonazzi, Massimo Bernardini, Eva Cantarella, Lella Costa, Margherita Rubino and Nadia Terranova. Alongside them, the perspective of the younger generation will be represented by an all-female Popular Jury comprising around thirty female students from Rapallo’s secondary schools who are about to sit their A-levels.

The awards ceremony for the winners will take place on Saturday 7 November in Rapallo.
