BOOM BAM! Sunset Music in the Park 2026

From the lawns of the Biblioteca degli Alberi to the whole of Portanuova, a wave of sound spreads through the city, blending folk rhythms, contemporary influences and traditional music: between June and July, BAM – Biblioteca degli Alberi Milano, a project by the Riccardo Catella Foundation, transforms into a vast open-air soundscape, where music meets nature and becomes an opportunity to explore different territories, cultures and communities. A programme – free and open to all – of concerts, performances, DJ sets and musical parades designed to experience public space as a place for meeting, listening and shared participation.

BOOM BAM! Sunset Music in the Park is the format that takes the audience on a journey through four sunset concerts – on Thursday 11, 18 and 25 June and 2 July from 8.00 pm – dedicated this year to Italian musical tradition reinterpreted in a contemporary key. The artistic line-up spans various musical regions of the country – from Salento to Romagna, from Milan to Naples – demonstrating how folk music traditions can be transformed into contemporary languages capable of engaging with different audiences and generations.

Each event transforms the park into a vibrant and convivial space where you can listen to live music surrounded by nature in the twilight, with outdoor aperitifs by Ratanà, closing DJ sets and performances that engage the audience in a collective experience of energy and community.

The festival begins on June 11th with “Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino”, a group capable of transforming the frenetic pizzica tarantata into a thrilling contemporary experience.
On June 18th, it’s the turn of “Extraliscio”, a visionary project bringing Romagna folklore to BAM in a whirlwind of accordion, rock and folk poetry.
On June 25th, “Camilla Barbarito & Grand Tabazù” reinterpret the tradition of Milanese song with irony and elegance, blending French influences with Dadaist touches.
To conclude the event, on 2 July, “Bassolino” blends mantric percussion, Arabic melodies, metropolitan blues and cinematic atmospheres, creating an innovative soundscape deeply rooted in Neapolitan culture.
