On Sunday 8th February three new interactive activities in the BAM park
To celebrate the opening of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Games, the Riccardo Catella Foundation is hosting a day of free activities open to all on Sunday 8 February 2026 at the BAM – Biblioteca degli Alberi Milano park in Portanuova, bringing together art, community and sporting values. The initiative forms part of the BAM FAIR PLAY 25/26 programme, conceived by Francesca Colombo, Cultural Director of BAM – Fondazione Riccardo Catella, for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Cultural Olympics, and is part of the Giochi della Cultura programme, promoted by the Lombardy Region in collaboration with Triennale Milano.
The day offers three main experiences: the new installation of BAM Performative Land Art, which paints the Olympic rings traced on the BAM lawn in the event’s official colours, inviting citizens to share their reflections on Olympic and Paralympic values with the artwork, in collaboration with the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland; a walk entitled “On Display: a path between nature and design” linking BAM with the Palazzo dell’Arte at Triennale Milano, exploring the city’s architecture and botanical curiosities, and culminating in a guided tour of the exhibition “White Out – The Future of Winter Sports”; the opening of the Olympic and Paralympic Trail, a multi-stage route through the park dedicated to listening to episodes of the FAIR PLAY podcast, which focuses on the values of sport.
