On the second floor of the Teatro dell’Architettura Mendrisio, the exhibition “Pino Musi. Continuum”, curated by Michael Jakob, presents a selection of black-and-white photographs that explore form, matter and the perception of space. Conceived as a site-specific project, the exhibition engages with the circular form of the exhibition space and unfolds across six thematic sections featuring long scrolls—sequences of photographs—presented as a single panoramic narrative.

The exhibition invites visitors to explore the various themes of Musi’s artistic practice, where photography and reflection on space intertwine, transforming the act of seeing into a form of knowledge: the relationship between the ruin and the origin of architecture, the sense of dwelling, the transformations and transitions of built space, right through to the tensions between the concepts of surface, form and incompleteness.
